Antique Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Ginger Jar Shaped Vase With Butterflies Meiji Period circa 1880-1910ESTATE FIND!
Exquisite antique cloisonné butterfly footed rose bowl vase made in Japan during the Meiji Period ca. 1880-1910.
The round vase stands on three feet, it features colorful butterfly floral and geometric cloisonné patterns .
The Background is teal with lots of other colors mixed in throughout the design. At the top there are blue circles with black scallops. Lower down there are flowers and swirls in circles.
There are 6 scenes . Two include butterflies. The others are florals with geometric designs. There are swirls , circles and designs with sparking green accents .
Towards the bottom of the piece there is a blue scallop design , red circles, then a gold swirl design inlaid on a black background .
*One of the butterfly scenes has two sections of missing inlay . See pics . * Inside is all enameled and could use a light cleaning .

The vessel stands on 3 metal feet encircled by pink flowers . There is a red flower in the center of the base .
