Blue Peacock Japanese Vase Floral Flower Painted Cobalt Gold.  My wife and I purchased this in the us virgin islands in 1983 (see pic of receipt).  It has never been used for anything other than display in our china cabinet in the living room.  Been there since 1983. We have lived in the same house for 41 years so that china cabinet has never moved. The vase even has no dust on it and in beautiful condition; The salesman at the "English shop" said the vase is actually an antique and told me the maker.in Japan; I can't remember the name and the receipt is a little faded; Perhaps you can read it; The Japanese mark on the bottom of the vase will also will tell who made it (see the pic).
I tried to contact the English Shop but apparently they are no longer in business. The vase stands 12" tall and about 6" wide. Also included are a tea cup and chop sticks.  Pattern on the cup is similar but does not exactly match the vase. Since my wife and I are not in good health and approaching 80, we decided to sell most of our possessions. Otherwise I'd be keeping this.; It's beautiful. Buyer pays shipping. Browsing through Ebay the closest vase I could find with the same Japanese mark is listed for 0.;
A collector has advised the bottom mark reads Meito meaning Pottery Art is the name of the manufacturer. Please see the attached photos of a similar vase by Meito in this same pattern from my collection.
