Utah Picture Jasper - Polished
Jasper nodule comes from Grand County, Utah - found in the Brushy Basin Member in the Morrison Formation. These Pseudomorph's are from around the same Jurassic Time Period, about 140 million years old.
These jasper nodules come from the same formation as dino bone, barite pseudomorphs and petrified wood. The nodules are the only ones to show pictures by the way the silica infiltrated the cracks in the nodule.
This Ancient Art shows a flying bug in the center with orange/red and yellow fortification.
Great addition to your collection.
Measurements are about 3 1/2 inch by 3 inch and 1 1/4 inch at thickest, weighs 7.8oz
