INSTALLATION--Remove the old rear main seal and clean the surface. Attach the adapter and install the new seal. Tighten the bolt on the installer to pull the seal assembly over the crankshaft and into the cylinder block. Finally remove the installer, protector, and adapter.

4. Tighten the bolt on the installer to pull the seal assembly over the crankshaft and into the cylinder block.
(Note: To prevent damage to the seal, do not use air tools to pull the seal into place.)
5. Remove the installer, protector, and adapter
CAUTION:
This installation procedure requires the use of hand tools only. The use of power tools or hammering on the installer can damage the sleeve and seal.
