Up for sale is this gorgeous signed pottery vase with midnight blue glaze and notched band around the sides. Bulbous upper shoulders and a beautiful design!
Signed on the bottom with two impressed characters 北鳥 which may be the artist Kitajima.
This seems like a Japanese piece to me, but it could be Chinese - I found a school in Taipei that is of the same name but this and my other pieces of this artist really feel mature versus a student piece. I have several pieces by this talented artist so please check out my other listings for more unique pieces.
Measures 8” inches tall, 7.3” inches long (20.3 cm, 18.5 cm).
Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
