    Description

    Antique Japanese Imari ginger jar with a second inner lid. This ginger jar is octagonal in shape with cobalt blue and rust traditional cartouches around the body of the jar decorated with flowers, prunus trees completed with gold accents. The should of the jar displays rust flowers on a cobalt blue background and gold leaves. The cover displays complimenting decor and the inner depressed lid display rust flowers with a gold finial. This piece is in very good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. This piece was from a large collection of Imari and the 94 is the number assigned in the estate's catalog of pieces. Stands approximately 4 3/8" tall x 2 3/4" diameter at widest point x 1 3/4" diameter at the base and cover.
