    Description

This vintage mid-century ikebana container is a remarkably versatile.  The imprinted logo and numbers 232 belong to Yamasan Pottery.  It is water-tight and gently used, cleaned and stored without damage: no chipping, cracking, scratches or staining visible to the eye or felt by the hand. The outside rough, sandy appearance was applied by hand in the color and texture of the moriaged bits of clay an grit splatter and glaze indicative of that era.  The container measures 3.5" in height at its highest point, but less than 2.25" at its lowest point, an amazing 8.25" diagonal at its widest width at the top of the container and otherwise only 5.5" otherwise, a base 3.625" x 3.625" at the base with rounded corners. The container is water tight with a maximum water depth of 2" and weighs 1.5 lbs. All pictures were taken in a camera tent (and accounts for the reflected string of LED lights), but the last one which is a computer scan at 300 dpi. The empty coke can is not for sale, but to illustrate the size of the container.  This is part of the extensive collection of ikebana containers from which only a few have been selected by our children and their families to keep. Will answer all questions promptly.  Will securely package and ship by USPS Priority mail with insurance and tacking provided.
