Clauss 3769 9" tailor or dress-making steel scissors in chrome finish with black handle
are simply sturdy, durable scissors--the kind that someone would come by your home once upon a time to sharpen for you. They offer tight, smooth action. This particular pair are for fabric-cutting, and, while professional sharpening would perhaps be of value, they still cut quite well (See photos with denim and paper; the paper cut was 100% cotton fiber.). Note that the photos do show some loss of black paint to the handles, and chrome loss to the blade tips. This pair weighs in at 5.6 ounces (160 grams) and is of course offered here
