Vintage Japanese Moriage Wall Pocket Vase Double Handle Hand Painted Empress

Wonderful vintage Japanese Moriage Wall Pocket Vase. This nice old wall pocket with double handles features an empress, is hand painted and has raised enamel relief with gold gilt. The top and bottom bands are a rich deep cobalt blue. It is clearly stamped on back "MADE IN JAPAN" in black. This mark was used on Japanese items from 1921-1953. It stands 6 3/4" tall and is 4 3/4" wide. It is in very good vintage condition with some minor wear from many years of age and use. Please see photos above. There are no discernable cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. This Japanese Moriage Wall Pocket Vase would display wonderfully in a Wall Pocket Collection or added to your Japanese style décor.
