Vintage Ted Williams Salt Water Spin Fishing Rod 8'0"
This is a vintage two piece Ted Williams Salt Water model spinning rod. Rod was sold by Sears & Roebuck & Company but manufactured by Shakespeare in Wonderod design. Rod is 8'0" in length and weighs 14.65 oz. Rod will handle 12-20 lb. test monofilament lines. Rod has been fully reconditioned in Ted William's colors with all of it's original hardware. Rod dates to the 1960's. Rod has a 14" specie cork rear grip with brown plastic butt cap. 5" hooded, chromed, ring locking spinning reel seat. The 5" specie cork foregrip has a black rubber winding  check which is an addition to the rod. Stainless steel block style hookeeper is also an addition to the rod. TW logo and rod I.D. are largely intact with some wear and minor loss. Rod has five "V" frame chromed spinning guides and a rust proof tip top. Chromed, rolled, ferrules. Blade is honey brown with orange nylon vintage Gudebrod guide winds and brown nylon extensions. Rod is finished in Vintage Gudebrod glass rod varnish. Specie cork has been cleaned and reconditioned. Rod sections come sleeved in clear plastic. Rod will pack in a brown fiber rod tube which can serve as storage.
